Quick troubleshooting
"No Brightline train nearby"
The app looks for the closest active train within about 2.5 km of your location. If you see this message:
- Make sure you're at a Brightline station or on board — not just somewhere in the city.
- Check that you granted location permission (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Tracker for Brightline).
- Tap Try again. The Brightline data feed updates roughly every 15 seconds.
The Live Activity isn't updating
When the app is fully closed for a long stretch, iOS doesn't always wake it to refresh the activity. Open the app once and it will refresh. The on-screen countdowns continue to tick down between refreshes.
Wrong final destination
The confirm dialog defaults to the line's endpoint in your direction of travel. If you're getting off earlier, tap Different stop and pick your station.
App detected the wrong train
Tap Not me on the confirmation dialog. If detection keeps grabbing the wrong train, sit tight a minute — the feed may briefly show a train at your platform that isn't yours.
What the icons mean
- ⚡ — ETA came directly from the live feed.
- 〰️ — ETA estimated from typical inter-station travel times (used when the feed doesn't have a prediction for your stop yet).
